IMPORTANT UPDATE ON SB21-200
SB21-200: Reduce Greenhouse Gases Increase Environmental Justice had its second reading on the Senate floor this morning (May 14th). If it passes this reading, it will be voted on by the Senate as a whole. Unfortunately, Governor Polis threatened to veto the bill in a reversal of his campaign promise of bold climate action. We need to take action to ensure that our government protects our future.

Who We Are
We are a group of passionate high schoolers fighting for our future and our planet's future. In order to put pressure on our government to take much-needed climate action, we're lobbying our Colorado state legislators.
As young people who, for the most part, can’t vote, it’s easy for politicians to ignore us. They don’t need our votes, so they don’t have to do what we want. But we actually have incredible power to make our legislators listen. We are future voters, so politicians’ political futures depend on us. When it comes to climate, our futures are at stake, and we can’t make the immense change necessary without the government’s help. It’s about time our legislators listened--they work for us, after all! Join us in lobbying Colorado’s legislature for the future of this planet.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
- Margaret Mead
Why It Matters
We are in the midst of an environmental crisis. The planet is heating up, air is becoming more polluted, waste is building up in the oceans, sea levels are rising. On top of it all, we’re in a global pandemic. Past generations caused this crisis, and now it’s up to us to solve it. We can’t allow our leaders to continue to push climate change aside like a kid would push away a dreaded homework assignment. We have to take action for our future.
